Description
Top quality standard guitar 11 hole pickguard replacement for 3 single coil strat type guitars.
In the early 60’s due to the materials used in pickguards/scratchplates at the time white scratch plates turned green due to some polymer/UV reaction over time, this what we now know as “mint green” but it really was not so minty, at least at the time. They also used to shrink and crack so replacements of a similar colour were often sought after. So if you want an early 60’s Strat look, Vintage/Aged white is the one, with a very slight yellowish greenish tint this pickguard looks amazing on a 3 tone sunburst with Vintage Cream pickup covers and control knobs (the knobs and pickup covers never had celluloid in so they aged to more of a very light cream, known today as vintage cream. If you want a very aged pickguard (very few actually got to this colour without breaking due to them shrinking over time and cracking) then mint green is the one. Nothing quite says fake mint green as the cheap lime green pickguards you get today, so the mint green from Valley Sound looks exactly like Fenders own mint green, a slightly lighter shade of mint green that some copies which are more “lime green”
Pre 60’s era, the pickguards Fender used were 1 ply with 8 holes and the white would turn a more light cream colour over time, our 1ply 8 hole vintage white pickguard is made to mimic this too. Look for it in our online store!

By far the best natural aged look pickguard in SA. Perfect fit for a 2008 Fender USA Standard. Quality better than the original – more shielding and a fraction thicker.
