Trebble Bleed Circuit for Guitars

Price range: R10.00 through R20.00

Description

Trebble bleeds are designed to prevent your guitar tone from going dark or muddy when you roll your volume knob down. Now available from Valley Sound pre-soldered by us with shrink tubing to avoid shorting.

The “Simple” trebble bleed has the most effect, it can make it almost too bright when you get to a lower volume level, some Telecaster players like this sound. It is also installed as a standard in most PRS guitars.
The “Kinman” trebble bleed has less of an effect than the “Simple”, it just compensates for the loss of trebble as you roll down the volume. It does not affect your volume taper too much.
The “Duncan” trebble bleed is kind of inbetween the other two, though some say it affects the volume taper (you have a sudden drop off from around 3 to 0). Though this could either be attributed to type of potentiometer or incorrect pairing values of resistor to capacitor. We have paired each one of our trebble bleeds ourselves after extensive testing on these are our 3 standards we would like to offer.
We recommend “Simple” if you want to roll back your volume on your guitar to get a trebbly “BB King” type sound. If you just want to compensate for trebble loss then “Kinman” for Linear pots and “Duncan” for Audio taper pots.

Installation is easy, simply solder across your volume pots first 2 lugs.
